Viruses and Vaccines - Who Can You Trust?
by Bill Carico
Ever since vaccines were first developed people have questioned their effectiveness, even when vaccinations were being lauded as some of medicines greatest achievements.
Regardless of the branch of medicine being discussed, there have always been skeptics because medicine means doctors are involved.
"Doctors are those who prescribe medicines, of which they know little, to cure diseases, of which they know less, to human beings, of whom they know NOTHING.: -Voltaire , French philosopher (1694-1778)
(By the way, I love my personal doctors and are VERY thankful for each of them. Sounds like Voltaire must have had some pretty bad experiences!)
Later the distrust grew as pharmaceutical companies grew into giant corporations that were accused of exploiting sick people for profits. Seldom was it mentioned that such companies might invest several billion dollars to find a cure for a particular disease.
Nonetheless, when you add today's polarized politics into the equation, its hard to ask an honest question about anything before being labeled as "pro" or "anti" or science-denier regarding the subject matter being discussed.
When seeking truth on a disputed topic it is often helpful to turn to logic and use the law of non-contradiction as a guide. It states that when two people have opposite views there are two possibilities: only one can be right or they may both be wrong, but they both can't be right.
In many political debates the common conclusion is that both of the people arguing are wrong so beware of the shill who is pushing an agenda using well-rehearsed talking points.
The problem in the vaccinations debate, however, is exacerbated by any number of logical fallacies that enter in, combined with the fact the public is highly susceptible to being manipulated using fabricated data.
For example, consider a discussion where one person claims vaccines are unsafe and the government officials and pharmaceutical companies who are pushing them have ulterior motives. The other person counters that vaccine safety is not established by who says vaccines are safe, but by thousands of studies and years of experience. Neither side is persuasive trying to leverage generalizations too big to verify. Since money talks and it's impossible to know whose pulling the strings of both politicians, business execs, and research studies, sinister motivations are easily hidden by "not-so-independent" politicians and researchers.
Skepticism has never been higher now that we have experience first-hand ourselves how viruses can be used as weapons against nations. The June 4, 2020 infographic by the Epoch Times titled "China's Secret War Against America" reveals methods of subversion and unrestricted war used to undermine the United States. Seven attack vectors are intended to demoralize and include Psychological warfare to alter how a group of people interprets information and responds to emotional triggers. Outright misinformation is spread to confuse and muddle debate and analysis. Twenty-five attack vectors are intended to disrupt and destabilize the norms of our society, and conflict and intervention include eleven attack vectors where one is to create disease and chaos.
In light of the current pandemic, it's totally reasonable to question those in authority. For example, never before has a response to a virus been to quarantine the healthy. This must never happen again where a political indiscriminate lockdown is decreed that puts millions of people out of work when their chances of getting the virus is extremely low.
Now more than ever it's totally reasonable to wonder about corrupt politicians, medical tyranny and if and when vaccinations will be used as weapons (if they haven't been already.)
Even before a vaccine was discovered, on July 23, 2020, the US Department of Health and Human Services and Department of Defense reached a $1.95 billion agreement with the drug company Pfizer to produce at least 100 million doses of a Covid-19 vaccine. They announced that depending on when a vaccine is made available, the doses could start shipping out as early as the last quarter of 2020. "
Naturally researchers' success or failure usually determine whether a pandemic becomes endemic, means the virus isn't checked and resurfaces year after year. The leading companies are
Moderna, CanSino Biologics, Inovio, Sinovac, BioNTech-Pfizer, Univ. of Oxford-AstraZeneca, and Novavax. You can monitor their progress on a single webpage: click here.
Pfizer is the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical company and produces more than 350 different pharmaceuticals. It's 2019 revenues totaled over $51 billion.
In late 2019 Pfizer began restructuring to focus more on biopharmaceuticals, or bio-pharma for short. Bio-pharma uses things obtained or derived from living organisms to treat diseases compared to regular pharma which uses chemicals to produce medicine.
The 2019 restructuring plan was announced in Oct of 2018, stating, "Beginning in 2019, the company will reorganize into three businesses; an Innovative Medicines business, an Established Medicines business, and a Consumer Healthcare business. The Innovative Medicines business will include the current Pfizer Innovative Health business units as well as biosimilars and a new hospital business unit for anti-infectives and sterile injectables. Pfizer will also incorporate its biosimilar portfolio into its Oncology and Inflammation & Immunology business units."

Here is a five minute excerpt on Covid-19:
Beware of virus cure scams.
Scammers are selling products to treat or prevent COVID-19 without proof that they work.
Here's an excerpt From FDA.gov post from April 22, 2020 warning that There Are No Vaccines or Medicines for COVID-19, Yet
...The FDA is working with medical product developers to rapidly advance the development and availability of vaccines and treatments for COVID-19. Although there are investigational COVID-19 vaccines and treatments being studied in clinical trials, these products are in the early stages of development. They haven’t yet been fully tested for safety or effectiveness, or received FDA approval.
Fraudulent COVID-19 products can come in many varieties, including dietary supplements and other foods, as well as products claiming to be tests, drugs, medical devices, or vaccines.
The FDA has been working with retailers to remove dozens of misleading products from store shelves and online. The agency will continue to monitor social media and online marketplaces promoting and selling fraudulent COVID-19 products.
Recently, the FDA and the Federal Trade Commission issued warning letters to seven companies for selling fraudulent COVID-19 products. The products cited include teas, essential oils, tinctures, and colloidal silver click here: see product photos (External Link Disclaimer on Flickr).
The FDA is actively monitoring for any firms marketing products with fraudulent COVID-19 diagnostic, prevention and treatment claims. The FDA is exercising its authority to protect consumers from firms selling unauthorized products with false or misleading claims. The FDA may send warning letters, or pursue seizures or injunctions against people, products, or companies that violate the law. We are also increasing our enforcement at ports of entry to ensure that fraudulent products do not enter the country through our borders.
In addition, the FDA is monitoring complaints of fake coronavirus treatments and tests. Consumers and health care professionals can help by reporting suspected fraud to the FDA’s Health Fraud Program or the Office of Criminal Investigations.
