Sometimes God gives us a specific message to deliver to just one person.
Place: Talbot House Ministry, Lakeland, FL
Year: 2017
I had an accident in 2017 in Lakeland and broke my calcaneus bones on both
feet and had to undergo surgeries. I had to stay back in the USA to recover as
doctors prohibited me from traveling. I had friends and families to help me but I choose not to
be a burden on anyone to take care of me since I was going to be confined to a wheelchair
for almost a year.
Eventually, I found out about the Talbot House which is a shelter in Lakeland and chose to stay there for a while.
One day, as I was waiting in the lobby for my medical checkup appointment, a lady walked and sat on the floor next to me. I had seen her around the shelter and I knew her by name, but we had never before spoken and were complete strangers.
Quite suddenly I felt an urge deep in my spirit that God the Holy Spirit wanted me to deliver a message to her.
I did not hear any voice, but the Holy Spirit imparted these words to me:
I said, "Jane, life is a puzzle and God is the centerpiece of this puzzle. If we do not follow God then our entire life makes absolutely no sense."
I stopped speaking and she immediately began to sob.
I was not sure what was happening to her, so I apologized and begged her pardon if I offended her in
anyways.
Jane composed herself and explained, "Last night I received terrible news about my 15-year daughter.
My reaction was look up to heaven and say, "God, if you are there, please know that my life has become a puzzle and if you don't talk to me I am going to kill myself." She began sobbing again and said, "I had planned to kill myself after leaving from this place but God used you to speak to me with words that I spoke to Him last night."
Jane rose to her feet and said, "Thank you, I heard what I needed," and she exited the shelter.
As I watched her walk away by heart was overflowing with gratitude and awe as I considered how much God cares for His people.
A few days later Jane and I crossed paths again and I was glad to see that she was doing well.
